Resource Link

A resource link is one placement of a tool inside a context — an assignment, a module item, or a link in a page.

Its identifier is stable across launches, so it is the right thing to key stored state on when that state belongs to a placement rather than to a course or a user. Two links to the same tool in the same course are two distinct resource links.

Grade columns are usually associated with a resource link. See line item.
